How long have you been involved in your business? WSNBA.com is a newly formed business that was developed in June 2010. I also own Women at Home Magazine and have been in business since 2005.

How about a little background?

My Wonderful Children & Me

Hubby & Me

I’ve been married to a wonderful man for 18 years. We have 3 children, 2 boys (16 & 31) and a girl (29). We are also the grandparents of 3 girls and 2 boys. We have a very busy and active live as we travel, attend my youngest son’s hockey events and keep busy with all our children and grandchildren. We also have a crazy black lab, Max which keeps us on our toes.

I am the person to get things done even when their looks like there are no way to get it done. As an entrepreneur, I am very involved in many aspects of business, marketing, advertising and especially social networking. I am very creative and coming up for solutions to many problems that entrepreneurs face. I’ve always wanted to be home with my children and my career at home. My passion has always been to help women succeed in their business. For me it’s all about the freedom to do work when I want to work and still have time to travel, go to my children’s events and have leisure time.

Why do you think social networking is so important in today’s business world?

Marketing Convention - Carolee Sperry & Me

Social networking is very important to ones business whether they are just starting out or a veteran. I personally think that social networking gives you a voice and recognition in your community whether it’s online or offline. It’s free exposure. It also helps you build relationships in this society. Social Networking also can lead you to many resources that you wouldn’t otherwise come across. And the biggest reason why I think social networking is so important is it will give you a lead base and referrals if worked properly.

What inspired you to start the Women’s Success Network site? I’ve always wanted to be home with my children and my career at home. My passion has always been to help women succeed in their business. I’m a member of many groups and forum. I just felt that many of these places didn’t provide women the help they needed to advance their business.

What makes your site different from some of the other sites out there?

Our personal service to each member is one of the keys. Also our unique delivery and trainings gives our members the marketing edge. Our business is built on community, networking and education.

One thing that impressed me about your site is that it wasn’t just a bunch of people spitting out ads. You have all kinds of stuff going on….

What kind of training can one expect to find on your site?

Our training is versatile. We offer speed networking events where you can get your scripts critiqued and I show you how to be different that the average Joe or I should say Jane. WSN teaches you many new ideas like video marketing, product creations and so much more. We also teach you the basics of running your business and teach you to successfully creating bookings, parties, scripting, hostess coaching and closing to get sales and build business. We also teach you why follow up is so very important.

What would you tell someone who was new to marketing online?

The first thing I would tell a newbie, is don’t get overwhelmed by information over load. Find a coach or a mentor to work with you. A coach will help you cut through the millions of ways to get your word out there. Then start joining groups and forums. In the business world it’s who you know. Don’t advertise in forums, but become known by answering questions.

Electric Bear Studios with Barbara Siragusa

How do you handle the rejection that comes along w/being an Entrepreneur, and what advice would you give to others? Rejection can be hard. The first thing is growing a thick skin and the second is to learn not to take it personally. Remember some will, so won’t, so what.

I know from experience that it’s not easy getting yourself out there in the Internet world…..What keeps you motivated? I think what keeps me motivated is that every day there is something new going on in my business and it keeps growing. I look forward to meeting new people and building business relationship everyday.

Barbara Siragusa & Me

All Entrepreneurs encounter bad days. How do you handle yours?

Yes we all have bad days. I usually get over the issues very quickly. I have a dear friend that I can bounce anything off and she’s great. It usually just takes me a couple of minutes to bounce back and I’m ready to go. I think you just have to learn not to take things so personally.

How do you prioritize family with your Entrepreneurial responsibilities?

I always make a plan and prioritize family responsibilities first. I use my Success Planner and block out those times, then put my working hours around the family. It’s all about setting goals, blocking out your family time and then scheduling in your working hours around it.

How do you relax? My favorite thing to do to relax is to go the beach. I love laying on the sand and soaking in the sun. I live in snow country so that is not always possible, so I learn to find other things to do. I love to read and create new products when I’m not with my kids & grandkids. It can be so relaxing just to be with my family and taking a break. Sometimes it’s just for 15 or 20 minutes, but it works for me. I also love to travel and we spend a lot of time in Florida. We love it there.

Do you think social networking will continue to play a vital part of marketing a business? Social networking will always be a vital part of marketing whether it’s online or offline. Let’s face it, business about people. So you always need to meet new people. Without people you wouldn’t grow your business.

Biggest life lesson learned:

The biggest life lesson I’ve learned is that you have to do what you say you going to do and do it today. Tomorrow you may not have the same opportunities. “Just Do It” is my motto.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned in business:

The biggest lesson I’ve learned in business is that you need to approach people with a smile, even if your day is not going the best. Always do your best to serve the people you are involved with and build business relationships. Stop pushing to sell and just share your story with people.

Share your favorite quote or inspirational thought:

My favorite quote is from Alice in Wonderland: There is no use trying, said Alice; one can’t believe impossible things. I dare say you haven’t had much practice, said the Queen. When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

Where do you see yourself in 5yrs? In 5 years I see myself in the Who’s Who of Entrepreneurs
